CPL 2026 Format and Structure
The format expands to accommodate the seventh franchise. Seven teams play a single round-robin league stage (each side faces the others once), producing 21 league matches. That is followed by 18 additional matches in the double-header and playoff rounds, for a total of 39 fixtures over 45 days. The playoff structure mirrors the IPL model: Qualifier 1 (1st vs 2nd), Eliminator (3rd vs 4th), Qualifier 2 (Q1 loser vs Eliminator winner), and the Final.

Trinbago Knight Riders
(TKR) – The most successful franchise in CPL history with five titles (2015, 2017, 2018, 2020, 2025). Owned by the Kolkata Knight Riders group, TKR combines local West Indian firepower with shrewd overseas picks. Kieron Pollard (2025 Player of the Series) and Sunil Narine remain the heartbeat of the franchise. Their dominance in Providence (Guyana) and Trinidad makes them the team to beat once again.
Guyana Amazon Warriors

Barbados Royals

Saint Lucia Kings
